$10 – $15CHANGING LADDERS
Randy Foust is not a professional career coach. Nor is he significantly experienced in job hunts. Like a lot of you, he was a management professional who climbed his way up one corporate ladder for 20 years, only to find himself in a new city in search of a “new ladder”.
Randy quickly learned that finding a new ladder is a lot different than climbing an existing ladder, but he also found a lot of the skills are transferable. Come hear Randy’s story, share some of your own tips for finding potential ladders and learn from your colleagues as they share some of their stories and tips as well.
MEET THIS MONTH’S SPEAKER!
RANDY FOUST
With 30 years as an IT professional with Fortune 500 companies, Randy is currently a manager in the IT Project Management Office at Cardinal Health in Dublin, OH. His technical background is in application development and project management. He has managed all aspects of IT, including business analysis, application development, testing, project management offices, strategic planning, business management and executive client relationship management.
Randy spent his first 20 years climbing the technical-to-management ladder at a regional energy company, including numerous corporate relocations. His job moved again two years after moving to Columbus. He decided to stay, starting his search for a “new ladder”.
Randy is married, the father of two OSU graduates, and a junior at Dublin Coffman High School. He attended Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. On the fun side, Randy is currently climbing a “running ladder”…having gone past the 5K, 10K, 10 mile, half-marathon, and marathon steps, he is reaching for the ultra-marathon rung. Having missed it once, he plans to reach yet again in a few months.
